Training

Training for TTG athletes occurs at Bulkana Oval, Banksia Park.
Please contact our team manager by email: sa.teammanager@ttgathletics.com.au if you are interested in attending any of these training sessions.

Summer

The TTG season training fee is $150 per athlete. This fee is payable for all athletes taking part in any of the following: jumps, sprints, middle distance, throws training (excludes general Little Athletics training). Athletes may have a 1 week free trial after which the training fee is due. This is a flat season fee no matter how many training sessions you attend per week, or which event/s you train for. Please nominate your primary coach (who you will regularly train with, and correspond with) to secure your place in their training group.

Note: This fee covers training only, separate ASA (or SALAA) registration required for athlete Insurance Cover.


We have a number of specialist coaches (listed below). Training places are limited to ensure the necessary level of individual attention.
(Note: training generally begins in August/September and concludes in March/April)


Events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump

Ages: 11 years and up

Sessions:

  • Monday evening (Long/Triple)

  • Wednesday evening (High)


Events: Sprints, Hurdles, Relays

Coach: Scott Hewett

Ages: 11 years and up

Sessions:

  • Monday Sprints (6pm)

  • Wednesday Hurdles (6pm)

  • Thursday Sprints (6pm)


Events: Middle/Long distance running

Coach: Jane Sternagel

Ages: 10 years and up

Sessions:

  • Thursday (6:00pm)


Events: Throws

Coach: Daniel Weston

Ages: 11 years and up
